Default Summer Tire Recommendations?

Anyone have any good recommendations on tires? I currently have 215/45/17 Yokahama AVS-ES100. They are great but some camber took care of their life. So i need to replace them, i was thinking of going with 225/45/17. Would this be okay if the other 2 tires are 215/45/17 and in the rear? Does anyone have a good summer time that i can use? good in wet would be nice too but california doesnt see hardcore rain so it wont be bad if tehy arent that great in the rain.

I've heard those AVS-ES100's are teh shizzle for exactly what you are asking. How did you like them? Why not consider getting them again?

I really did like them...they were great in the rain and good in the summer. The price is about 110 or so so not bad i guess but that was for 215. I was just wondernig if there was anything better out there, more sticky for the turns? though the AVS get the job done well always lookin for more stick.

If you wanna get a wider tire, then you're gonna have to opt for 225/40/17.

I agree, I'd get AVS ES 100's again, once mine wears out. Really good tire.

if you don't care about losing some wet traction. falken azenis sport... but they don't have too many sizes. lucky for you 225/45/17 is one of the sizes they make

they are cheap too like $105 for the size you are looking for. http://www.vulcantire.com/azenis_t.htm

No, it's not that. If the tires that you have on there now are 215/45/17 (I'm guessing this is what closely resembles your stock tire size) then you're gonna have to get a smaller sidewall in relation to the wider tire. This is to keep the overall diameter of the tire the same (or at least really close to it). Unless you don't mind bigger sidewalls then 225/45/17 would be okay, but having two different sized tires like that looks really odd.

Haha.. you're right. Your best option is probably to just stick with the existing tire size that you have now.

Man, I live in PA, and school in NC

it rains in PA

My Azenis' do just fine in the rain, well when they have tread they do.

they don't do in the snow.... no i didn't leave out a word - they just... don't do - anything - except not grip.
