Thats a great article. Just goes to show how badly our liberal scumbag press can twist things if they want to.

Oh right, the press a bunch of liberal scumbags.

The same press acted exactly the same as it is now when Clinton was being impeached. The same press was gossipping about Monica Lewinsky long before any government action was taken. The same press acted exactly the same when he was being accused of various stuff related to the Whitewater real estate scandal. The same press acted exactly the same when they trotted out Paula Jones and Genniffer Flowers.

One of the few constants in a country where there is a free press, is that the media will dig up dirt. They dig up dirt on whoever is in office. It just so happens that we have a Republican administration at the moment, so surprise surprise, that's who the dirt is going to be about.

As for the Iraq crystal ball comment, one hypothetical scenario that might have occurred at an undeterminable point in the future is hardly means for throwing away over 100 years of precedent and launching a preemptive strike, and that's all I'll say about that.

And about the original article, it's stupid too. Oh look, another right wing war hawk is talking about how times ain't like they used to be and making totally speculative claims about how if WWII happened now, it would have been so much worse because of the supposedly liberal scumbag media. It's completely pointless to compare attitudes about events that happened 60 years ago and move them into the present time just to make some roundabout "point" (and there really is none here) about how people who don't fall in line with protectionist paranoia are somehow less worthy of breathing the same air as those who do.

To all of ye, I say this: bah!

I can't believe your ignorance... you speak out against a certain school of thought and then you instantly digress into the same... I'm hoping that I missed some implied humor.

In short... the media IS scum and has been for quite some time. It doesn't matter WHO is president and WHAT party is in power, they are interested in digging up and reporting dirt... regardless of their ability to back up that dirt with cold hard facts.
Why?
Because it sells.

Do the following and you'll be fine:

1. Hold your right hand at about eye level and flatten it out.
2. Quickly move it up and over your head while saying "whoosh!"

I'm sorry sir...
But I am relatively sure that you are not of the intellectual calibre to pull one over on me.

Um, that's what I said.

Just because they're scum doesn't mean it's because they're liberal. It just so happens that supporters of the current administration like to accuse the media of being liberal (as if it's supposed to be some kind of insult) because they dig up dirt about conservatives.

Apparently you are the one that needs to wave to the jet flying overhead...
I never claimed that they were liberal because they were scum... I do, in fact, concur with you that they are just scum.
I was denouncing your use of stereotypes such as "right-wing war hawk" when you just spoke out against the use of stereotypes such as "liberal media." You seem all too happy to stereotype against opposing viewpoints, but much more reluctant to accept stereotypes of those beliefs that are closer to home.
Oh well, only human... I guess.
