I agree that there is a difference between playing titles on the PC and a console. I prefer to play platform and action games on the consoles (and GCN is great for this!) but I find first person shooters (mouse-point) and racing games (the ability to easily add and modify cars) to be quite superior on the PC. It is all a personal preference, but I find the combination of GCN and PC to work the best for me. Of course... the best solution is to OWN THEM ALL!

Get the Xbox, I got one its hella nice...add that DVD hook up for like 20 bucks its the sh*t plus it has a bunch of other stuff that a PS2 doesnt have!!!

Who are the people who actually watch DVDs on thier XBox and PS2... I know they're out there, but I haven't met any... and until I do, I'm unlikely to understand why!

I have watched one DVD on my Xbox but usually if I want to watch Divx files on the tv then I use it. Aside from that it is a game system only and a nice place to back up files I don't want anyone to find

ps2 plays dvds out of the box, so that's a dumb arguement. and what does the xbox have that the ps2 doesn't?

my friends got married last christmas (day after) and ~10 of us got together and bought them an xbox. they play dvds on theirs so that they don't have to buy a separate dvd player. makes perfect sense to me.
