Well this problem is still occuring and I can't seem to fix it, my computer will not let me online at all, I try installing the verizon software (that I dont really need since I have a router) and it doesn't detect the onboard modem...

 

onboard...you mean the onboard NIC card? Was this a comp you built or came as a package? Go to device manager (right click my computer > properties > hardware > device manager) if you have any yellow question marks, post what they are next to. Also...what kind of router are you using?

 

It says it's working properly, so its fine, Im using a Microsoft router. It works cause im on this computer.

 

go to command prompt. type in: ipconfig /all (give us the output)

assuming you have WinXP. Do you have DNS addreses?

also, from command prompt type: ping www.cisco.com

uninstall the software you just installed.
so you're saying that you can get online w/ 1 PC but not the other that is behind this router?
