MIS Client Support Specialist

I am basically "the computer guy" at one of our site's here in Chesapeake, VA. I troubleshoot all hardware, software, network, wireless, etc at my site. The company I work for is the largest cable provider in the area and the building I work in is where all of the cable guys work out of. It's not only a huge warehouse where they keep supplies, but there are about 50-60 people that work in the office that I support. I'm also in charge of purchasing so whenever ANYTHING computer related is purchased throughout the company, it has to go thru me. I order all software, digi cams, servers, you name it.

Benefits: M-F 8-5, I work offsite and away from my boss, I share a huge office with another MIS guy that is always out of the office, we've got a TV with digital cable in my office, central AC, can leave for lunch whenever I want, etc. As far as purchasing goes, I get everything before anyone else does so I can test it out. The pay is also very good, plus we get discounted cable/telephone.

Downsides: Trying to stay busy.
