i first worked at a dollar store next to the projects after school. got paid minimum wage for 2.5 yrs doing damn near everything, from the register to stock work to "chasin" thieves who were gang members out the store to cleaning toilets. yeah, work sucked, but it was all worth it every other friday when i got paid. used to get crazy busy on the first of the month.
