y does my cat eat so much

seems like he's always eating. his food plate is right next to the floor i sleep on so i always hear him munching. then he drinks water for literally 10min straight. :wtf: ?

could be diabetic...that was the first signs my friends cat was a diabetic...it owuld eat and eat and drink and drink all the time....
