serious question that stumps me about heaven....
I kinda think that whoever believes in christianity have done some bad in their past and want to believe that the Bible is fact so that they can right their wrongs. Or that they are gullable. I don't know how you can believe that, but you can if you want, I won't stop ya.

We know that God and his human creations have a corporeal existence that is a part of their definitions.
We do not necessarily know the nature of this corporeal existence; however, it has been shown to us at various times in history.
For example, at the Transfiguration, we had a glimpse of this permanent, corporeal existence, although it is described inadequately.
So, from an Orthodox Christian standpoint, we know that having a body is a part of your permanent existence, although we cannot say for an absolute certainty what it looks like or even of what it is constituted.

not fire, but light :wiggle: doesn't make a whole lot of sense. no clue why its like that, but oh well.

The name Lucifer is a reflection of his position in God's eyes, originally. He was in fact, the light of God's eyes, the creature who was the first of all the firsts.
"Lucifer, the Morning Star."

That is not true for me, i accepted the Lord i along time ago. I am currently diagnosed with chemical depression, but it has done nothing more than to strengthen my faith. All in all its is a matter of faith, and my faith is in the Lord...who died for me, and the greatest momont of my life will be when i kneel before God, with my crown at his feet, and he accepts me and i enter those pearly gates...then..ITS PARTY TIME!!

The God of Christianity, Judaism and Islam, the thundering God of the mountaintop, to be what he says he is, must exist at the same time in all time.
He therefore always knew what was going to happen. He always knew that he would have to save mankind the hardest way possible, and it's possible that he is continuing to have to do it, if not on this world, perhaps on others.
The beginning of the Gospels, EIN APXH EIN O LOGOS KAI O LOGOS EIC TON THEOU, tells us that from the very beginning the idea of the Son of God and Man existed as a part of God's makeup.
Christ was incarnated fully God and fully Man.
Christ had to be born as a man and born with sin in order to make sure that he could die and go to Hell.
Christ had to be fully God in order to make sure that when he got to Hell, he could and would defeat it.
The idea of what Christ did when he was dead is lost to many western Christians, but it lives in powerful imagery in the eastern churches. Some of the most powerful iconography I've ever seen depicts a Christ alive but in Hell, the Gates of Brass under his feet. With one hand he is raising Adam out of the grave, and with the other he is raising Eve.
It is a powerful image, unforgettable, that God would endure what Man had condemned themselves to, for his love's sake.
