Computer geeks needed!!!
When you are at the repair console, at the c: type without quotes "fixboot" then press enter, it'll ask you if you are sure press "y"
When that completes type "fixmbr" same thing, it'll ask you if you are sure, type "y"
Next type "chkdsk /p"
Once that completes type exit and the computer will reboot. This does the same thing that the repair install does, just without messing with your system32 directory. If doing what I mentioned doesn't fix the rebooting, then chances are that a repair install will not either. The only thing left to do would be to do a clean install.

Well i have the XP Pro upgrade cd, but when i put that in the drive, nothing shows up, since I can't get to the desktop...sometimes I can get into the desktop, but it would just restart in seconds.
Well okay, i successfully got into the desktop and noticed a popup that had said "One of the registry files was missing, but was recovered by a log or an alternative source." Or something like that, so I'm gonna restart it a couple times to see if it happens again, if everything seems fine, I'll hold off on the xp install. Thanks :-D
