Default Best Buy Alarms

Anyone have any experience w/ their installs? I want to buy my own system so I dont need to buy their crappy ones and have them install. Since I dont know any reliable places, they all seem shady to me. I figure at least BB has a familiar brand. Inputs?

best bet is to find a good sound shop that does installs and see what they charge. best buy eats ass.

Isn't BestBuy one of those stores that has a huge window looking into their install bay? I always thought that was funny...install someone's expensive equipment so everyone can see it, and also install an alarm so everyone knows how it was installed and where exactly the brain is located. Not to mention that you can watch how bad their installation really is.

Find a shop that specializes in car a/v and alarms. You'll be glad you did.

Extremely easy eh? If you lived around here I'd just pay YOU to do it anyways... I figured it'd be very complicated since it involves door sensors, glass sensors, etc...

its not as "easy" as you think to put in a good install. its more than locating and crimping wires.

my suggestions would be to find a local reputible shop, and have them install it.

I have a DIY/homemade alarm. It's called removing some fuses. And if I am parking for a long time in a bad area, I'll remove the plug wires too. It doesn't deter breakin and vandalism but at least they wont drive off with it.

I was lazy and had my system installed there. I should have done it somewhere else but taking that into consideration, BB isn't that bad. I was allowed to sit and watch them install everything while some stores won't let you.
