Thousands of lives have been lost in a conflict whose raison d'etre is IMHO, questionable at best.
That - in itself - is tremendous tragedy for all involved.
On a personal note, I don't think I can take much more of the bitter partisan divisiveness, tension and anger that has consumed this nation of late. I'm deeply concerned about the fate of the Republic, and for me, this latest round confirms that things will be getting much, much worse...

^^^^^ some terrorist group kills many people in new york so we go fuk up a country not responsible for it. How is this different? Their pissed at the military and kill someone who has nothing to do with the conflict. They stated a point just like we did. We are saying don't mess with us and so are they. In my oppinion both sides are completely wrong, of course behaeadings are not comparable to anything we have done.
