That - in itself - is tremendous tragedy for all involved.

On a personal note, I don't think I can take much more of the bitter partisan divisiveness, tension and anger that has consumed this nation of late. I'm deeply concerned about the fate of the Republic, and for me, this latest round confirms that things will be getting much, much worse...
