Updated cast list for the big screen movie... Mos Def as Ford Prefect??? Come on they could have done better.

i am a huge fan of this book series (trilogy of five) those arent the actors i would choose.. damn, they dont even look like i imagined them .. i imagined trillian to be black :-s

I agree... but Trillian being black? Hmm how did you get that, gotta remember this was rural England back in the 70s so most characters are based on the blue collar town folks from that era.

she's supposed to be in your face woman that can really hit it off .. and i felt that her and zaphod got along well because she was black (they are both different) ..

why is ford perfect black?!! that doesnt make sense at all!

I absolutely agree with the Ford thing, why the heck is he black???

I pictured Trillian as a Asian girl based on the name itself.

mcmillian is her last name thats english

but yeah, ford perfect is supposed to fit in, being black makes him stand out.

maybe they thought that Mos Def can pull off the "suave-ness" of ford?

Well McMillian is more Irish... so I was picturing some mix of Irish and Asian. h: Makes sense to me because Irish hate the Brits and Zaphod is the epitome of a pompous Brit.

[sarcasm]Seriously... there's NO black people whatsoever in England! How could they make such a stupid mistake?[/sarcasm]

Ford Prefect tried to fit in, but there was always something odd about him... I think Mos Def could pull off that look.
