and i drive a civic because it was an affordable good car. they helped me pay for part of it, which was cool, but they wanted to teach me responsibility. i honestly wouldn't have it any other way.

I hit a $40k car the same way I would a $1500 car.....point at car, press gas, apply brakes after hitting car.

any type of hit-n-run accidents suck regardless of who you are and what car you own.
but from what you describe of his income... a $40k car aint shit. if i made 20g/month, id be pissed if someone hit any car i own...but then i would just get it fixed or buy a new one. :dunno:
