cant really give you a "best" setting. it depends too much on what you are shooting, the effect you are looking for, and your environment. h:

lets say...for a sports event such as a basketball game played in a gym. want to take pics of they players as they are playing, but dont want them to be blurry

set a very high shutter speed. The shorter amount of time the aperture is open, the less likely the object that is moving will be blurry. But, because the shutter speed is higher, it lets in less light meaning that its got to be fairly bright out in order for the subject thats being photographed to be seen without the picture being too dark.

how close are you going to be from the players? you also have to think about the lighting conditions there because the last time i shot in a gym my pics came out orange h: i assume it has something to do with the white balance? :dunno:

but yea, basically if you dont want blur, you want a fast shutter and a low f-stop.

if you are more than 15ft away the picture wont come out very good. so get as close as you can. set your iso to 100 in outdoor with sun.
