Stupid smoke detector
This smoke detector of mine sure is annoying.
It was beeping once a minute, to indicate that the battery was low/dead. It got really annoying and I don't have any 9v batteries handy so I took the battery out. Problem solved? Nope, it kept beeping.
Next step, I pulled it off its mount in the ceiling and saw that it was plugged into some kind of wires. I thought maybe it was getting reserve power from them for the beeper so I unplugged it. Then it beeped in my hands. Grrr!
I guess it's got some kind of backup battery. It didn't stop beeping, so I looked around for somewhere relatively noiseproof to put it til I can go get a battery.
It's in the fridge. :chuckles:

a lesser man would've just bought a 9v battery.

Beeps in your hands....:lmfao: You apparently have a hypochondriac smoke detector...
