unions are outdated, IMO.... they are still useful but i think they need some reform.

as for protesting the deisel prices... why the hell would deisel suppliers give a damn about these a-holes parkin on the freeway? dudes are still gonna have to buy the deisel to go from pt A to pt B... the only people that are gonna get pissed are the people waiting for delivery, the people sending the delivery, and the people that are gettin held up by these morons.

glad i dont have to deal with that garbage.... and i know i for one would be pissed that they are in my way and holding up emergency vehicles and people that actually have to go to work on time cuz they dont have their union to back them up and allow them to be bitches....

you dont see commuters parking on the freeway and not going to work cuz they dont like paying more than $2 per gallon of gas.... cuz they know it isnt their employers problem and if they played that game, they would get sh!t canned

absurd IMO

This gas gouging is starting to affect everything we do and purchase. Prices go up because companies have to charge more to ship and deliver it and it is passed on to us the consumers. so not only do we pay more at the pump but also at the checkstand, to add to that it causes jobs to be lost because the cost of doing business goes up in general so people are laid off again to save the company money. Welcome to a recession and how it all begins

Commuters jobs aren't driving. A truck driver's job is. Read the article that joebenz posted. Diesel is almost 50 cents a gallon more in California.

i think unions are great, regardless, because workers deserve representation, imo.

all i can say is that teamsters and afl/cio are the only substatial unions around here, and there are hundreds of thousands of people in southeast wisconsin that are members. we would never partake in any sort of behavior like this. the only thing that unions should do is negotiate wages, benefits, hours, productivity requirements, and job safety. but then these idiots that go on national tv and act out do two things: give unions in general a bad rep; and dont get anything accomplished. then there's idiots that support this kind of behavior

there's also morons who can't read. this whole ordeal has been reclassified as a protest and apparantly not affiliated with a union.

This is like trying to reason with a two year old.......

what you fail to understand is there are many thousands of truckers who only operate within Cali borders :slap:

.....or is that the diesel fumes getting to you again
