Default mainstream hiphop has always been wack

I've never bought into this jiggy crap of bling this and bling that. It's always been about those who work their @$$ off in rhymes and beats, give their fans quality music. Ludacris, Master P, Nelly, they are all clones of each other with the same dayam message and beats. Underground shiz always rocks, stuff from Aceyalone, Freestyle Fellowship, Lootpack, Jurassic 5, DJ Shadow, and Gunkhole are a few who have stayed with their roots and never sold out to mainstream status of just putting garbage out to sell a few CDs.

I didn't like gangsta rap -- I thought the message was a terrible one. I'm a little older now, and I understand that the artists weren't trying to recruit people to that lifestyle. If anything, the oppoosite was probably true.
its to bad the youth of today dont' understand that and think its meant to be taken literally

IMHO rap just compounds the problem of gangs we have today because as adults we understand what they are trying to say. this shit aint worth it be straight. the kids see it as "look at these ballers woooooo spinnahs!!!"

OOOOOH if you guys want underground download Atmosphere best friggin underground hip hopper in my opinion. local minnesota boy straight from the farm yard

i use to listen to rap. back when A Tribe Called Quest, KRS ONE (BDP), EPMD, Naughty By Nature, etc. were around. ...when Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Tupac hit the scene with all that gangster rap in 92+ I lost interest. ...and now all the spinners, bentley's and "lingo" that goes with it just gets old.

Default the old skool material never gets old...

crowds go mad nuts when I flip A Tribe Called Quest, Gangstarr, Jungle Brothers, and other late 80's/early 1990s material. They don't make stuff like that anymore.

If you like Deltron 3030, you should actually check out the rest of Del the Funky Homosapien's work. And Roni Size's "genre" is Jungle.
