:madfawk: My computer sucks!!`1`~1!
I didn't see that last post of yours before my latest restart. This time I went into the bios and changed the clock setting to 133 instead of the 166 it was at.
It's effectively a 1900+ right now. Not a big deal really since I'm not going to be able to play any CS until at least tomorrow anyway. But my temperatures have been going down even with it's on, so that's a good sign.

I just boosted it back to normal now that I've cleaned the system and replaced the heatsink/fan and thermal compund.
temp is now stable at 46 degrees Celsius
I even went to the AMD support forums and they said to replace the heatsink, fan and thermal compund. So I spent 25 bucks on a high-flow vantec combo. I was going to buy the arctic silver, but unless this compund sucks ass, I don't care.

... apparently my cpu may not have been a major factor of this after all.
I went into steam to play CS again and the damn thing overheated all over again :madfawk:
time to uninstall it, I guess.

Woah CPU is way too hot... get a better heatsink/fan Such as Zalman. I picked up this one:
and my CPU temp dropped 4-5 degrees. Also, a good thermal paste.
