Police Officers are quite often either on a call (and most calls wont involve the lightbar or sirens) and are therefor not willing to stop what they are called to do; to stop someone on a Motorcycle or doing a Burnout or whatever...

The other thing that happends, is their shift may be ending and they want to finish up some reports and go home.

Or in that officers case, I bet he just decided to let Darwin take it's course. I've had many an officer just watch me zip past them at over the speed limit, simply because they more or less just feel like I'm not going to hrut anyone but myself in a motorcycle accident, so there's no need to stop me.

A lot of the cops around here won't bother with a sport bike because quite simply they can't catch them. I have seen and heard of more than a dozen of my friends bailing on the cops and ditching them then meeting up at the local coffee house 15 minutes later laughing about it.

They know they are outclassed so they rarely bother trying.

It's possible that the cop knew him and where he lived. Maybe he drove to the kid's house and delivered the ticket.

I saw someone cut across 3 lanes like 20ft in front of a red light, and 20 ft infront of a cop to get into the left-hand turning lane. The cop didn't do jack shit :chuckles:

3-4 years ago i was leaving the movie theaters with my cousins at around midnight and there was this cop that pulled over a civic that was fixed up a lil and had the kid sitting on the curb questioning him. she asked him if his exhaust was loud, then right when she asked him that, a late 60's mustang rumbles by drowning out what the kid was saying. the cop just looked over at the mustang and kept on writing the kids ticket. h:
