1. Explain why the father of a girl who is colorblind must be colorblind?

2. Compare and contrst turner's syndrome and Klinefelter's syndrome.

3. Describe the process of transcription and translation. Use diagrams that are labeled as well as a narrative. Be sure to address the loacation in the cell where transcription and translation take place.

you can get all those answers from the internet. #1 can probably be easily answered by paying attention to the dominant traits chart that you guys probably had to draw out.

but im not a hard sciences person h:

The Y chromosome doesn't pass on any genetic information, the genetic info is stored on the X. For the colorblind thing, I would say that colorblindness is probably a recessive trait, which would mean that she had to have received it from both parents. Since she is a she, she received a copy of her father's X chromosome, which must have held the colorblindness. Her mother must be at least a carrier. I think that's right. I'm rusty on this stuff.
