Doesn't really matter if you get either the JDM or USDM one. Unless you want to BAR it.

i think ill just spend the extra time and swap in the original motor b4 smog time comes so i wont have to bother with refs and stuff, now i need to find a place to store the original motor. one thing good about this though, is i can clean up the original motor when its out of the car and do a couple tranny flushes. good thing its in june and not during the skool yr. thanks for all the replies.

Umm...you can pass smog with a JDM engine too just as long as you get all the emissions equipment on it and it functions properly :slap:

i read that in cali, smog places are not able to even touch an engine thats JDM, it was a law passed back in 02' i think.
plus, i dont even want to bother dealing with refs or BAR or whatever. i just want to goto a gas stattion with my stock f22 with carb legal AEM intake, pass it, everyones happy, and i drive home...
