Default 2k to fix my dad's car

He got side swiped by some jackass from VA who at the time admitted fault to my dad. Later changed his story and said my dad hit him. Well now the guy won't pay the $2k to fix my dad's car so its time to take his ass to court and get the money. My dad was pretty badly bruised but didn't go crying to the doctor unlike the bitch that I got in a wreck with.

I'm so glad I live in a no fault state.

You're required to have no-fault insurance. No taking people to court.

Your insurance pays to repair your car (assuming you have coverage), and then they work something out with the other person's insurance.

I don't like no-fault states simply because even if I get in an accident that isn't my fault, the insurance company knows it and can add it to my record. It may not increase premiums, but it's still on file somewhere.

At-Fault just requires you to follow the law very carefully so you don't get screwed. Get their information, their insurance, and everything else you can about them; especially if they admit fault. Immediatly call up THEIR insurance company and start a claim with them.
