I don't think you guys realize I traded 2 vehicles for the S2k

secondly, if you don't sit down to calculate if you can afford a car, something is wrong with your spending habits IMO. We made sure the car fit within our budget before considering the car. It did, so we went for it.

cost of living is cheap around here, i bought a 3 bedroom/2 bath house 1400 sq foot for $104,000 which is actually kinda high for the neighborhood I am in. The houses around me are selling $98,000 - $104,000.

my truck sits in my front yard cause i have no where else to put it.. sucks when it rains cause i live on swampland so it gets stuck in the mudd. My screen door broke i guess one night when I was sleeping the wind knocked it off the hinges, it wasn't the best screen door (btw) it was already ghetto rigged in there, the previous owner was a total nutcase.

That's gonzo. Considering $104,000 wouldn't even pay for half of a 1 bedroom condo around here.

thats what people in this thread arent getting. a house on the beach in South Carolina isnt even as much as the little house Brett's living in.

she got the car. they have a house. theyre content. let them be.

Congrats!

If I remember correctly, there is no state tax taken out of your paycheck in Florida either. The tourism industry is to thank for that. I wish my state was like that, but nobody comes to Wisconsin. (on purpose anyways)

CA has state taxes

and Congrats NICE color choice

Yes FL houses are cheap for the most part. that is if you enjoy living near swamp lands ehhehe j/k (sort of)

I considered relocating to FL once. I would have been able to buy a house and pay it off in 3-4 years. Well it wouldn't have been a big house, just 1500sq/ft.

A nice new custom home (3000sq/ft) would have been under $300K with nearly all upgrades that was 2 years ago.
