Dog Owners,..come in please
A couple of general suggestions...
1) leave some music on (tv, radio, etc) to help keep them quiet.
2) When you leave, don't make a big deal of it... When it's time to go, just ignore the dog and go. Don't give the dog lots of attention and then leave. Often the lots of attention then being left alone is what gets them started.

i dont think there is anything to help you out but my granddad has a dog that has seperation anxiety bad.....
so, the family was getting together one night to go out to eat. we leave and of course the toy poodle has to stay home. so we're eating and having a great time two hours go by and the neighbors call us asking if there was anything wrong. they had been hearing a screaming noise for about an hour and a half  it turns out that just about 10 cops, 3 fire engines, and 2 ambulances showed up at our place do to all the noise. man, this dog caused such a fuss all because his dad wasn't there. how annoying. this is why i have a big dog that is quiet and certainly not a pussy.
anyway, good luck with the dog....

The way to prevent this from happening in the beginning is to not make a big deal of comings and goings, if *you* make a big deal, so will he. I have the same problem, and that's what the vet told me to do. But it's hard not to make a big deal when I come home and he's jumping around like a retard.... It's just too funny. At some point, I just stopped caring.

Yeah ive heard that its good to get a dog a companion to hang out with when your gone. Just be sure they dont get too friendly and you end up with elvendy billion dogs. I leave the tv on when i leave so sushi my peke isnt so bored. She loves teletubies and subaru commercials. She dont like the honda commercials though.
