This came up a while back, and the list I came up with then, pretty much applies today. I do know it will be RWD or AWD, and most likely FI in one form or another.
------
Disaster (read errant SUV) notwithstanding, my DC4 will be a part of my fleet for quite a long, long, long, long, long time.
That said... I have a number of ideas bouncing around in my head, so it could be any one ( or more) of the following:
*FOUR-DOOR CANDIDATES:
1) An Small Block Chevy-converted Jaguar Sedan (LS or LT1, 6spd MT, ±3.73 rear end)
2) A similar early 80's vintage Jag with a RB25DET instead of the SBC.
3) A 560 SEL Mercedes- Benz sedan with some serious motor work done, most likely FI.
4) A Peugeot 505 STX, powered by a built 6G72 or a boosted H22.
•OTHER IDEAS:
5) A built GD8 WRX wagon...although I'd like to avoid smog where possible.
6) A 993 Porsche 911 C4 with a bit of chassis work.
7) There's also the possibility of a 97 NSX-T, although another two-seater would probably mean switching from a DC4 to a DB8.
8) Speaking of DBs.... one of my favorite British designs, the Aston Martin DB7 will have depreciated nicely by then, so the 993 could be usurped by it....
I could go on for quite a while ... there are the Caterham 7 Turbos, Westfield MegaBusas and such, but these eight are the most likely.
Any thoughts?
