Default Went camera shopping today

Yeah I am addicted to still photgraphy in a major way. So since I have ssurpassed what my current camera is capable of for night shooting I have gone on the hunt for a new more flexible and prosumer based camera.

I have decided on the Nikon D100 which I know several pros who shoot with it and it comes highly recommended. The other camera I was looking at was the Canon 10D (both priced the same) but have finally decided on the D100 to be purchased within the next 2 months or sooner

The winning camera

have you checked out the d70 from nikon? its suppose to compete with the 300d from canon, but i think i heard something out it surpassing the d100.

and it took you a week to get tired of the c4000 haha...h:

I have checked the D70 but it only surpasses in pixel count which once you hit 6 mp its just numbers. I really don't plan to print much above 10x30 and with the way this camera shoots I could print way above that with no problems at all.

The main thing with the D70 you get is a slightly higher price tag and an 8mp or so count which really means little to me at this point.

Oh and the C4000 will still be with me as a sidearm but my main gun will be the new camera...I have just surpassed the C4000s limits.

I'd save money and get a film SLR. With good film and paper they look better than any digital pictures I have seen. Then again you have to deal with getting them developed. Oh well. That's the only reason I'm buying a digital. :happysad:

The D100 is a very nice camera... I might just have to come to Oregon and steal it from you. :chuckles:
