h::werd: don't immediately latch on to some other chick. it won't solve your problems. truly moving on can't happen until you and your ex are out of the same house, imo.
you mentioned getting a guitar -- a good step. it would also help to get a hobby that gets you out of the house for long periods of time. it'll take your mind off of your ex but also keep you from seeing/hearing her retarded, sluttish behavior.
ask her nicely to go **** at his place instead of yours, dont talk to her anymore or at least keep it to a minimum (no small talk, just business. avoid her at all cost), go to the gym and vent your frustrations/anger/sadness there. get on the treadmill/park/track and run, physically and mentally. leave all the sadness behind, like forrest gump did. it worked for me. now im toned, healthy and over her.

She mostly hangs out at his place, but we live in townhouses and we share a wall, so its not like she's OUT of my mind when she's over there...this goes back to the original reason for the theard. I know she's over there, with him, so I can't stop myself from wondering what she's doing.
Going to the gym is a great idea, but one of the side effects from my depression has been a severe loss of appetite. In the past 1.5 months, I've lost ~25 lbs. But, as a result, I have a very low energy level because I'm not getting enough food. I'm taking a multi vitamin every day so that I can get the bare essentials in me, but other than that I eat maybe half of ONE meal a day.
Sounds like the girl you knew is gone. Just be happy with the experiences and good times you had. She has moved on without looking back, which can be disturbing when one is enamored with that person.
Same shiet happened to me way back with my first love. When she left me I immediatly hooked up with her cousin cause she was hot and turned out to have a nice personality later on.
*edit= I don't suggest you hook up with one of her family members, but find someone else that you are attracted to, if only to hang out as friends. It can help you start to get over what your going through.

haha, she pays rent, and I need that rent money for three months. Finding a roommate to fill her spot for just one term would be impossible.
