i used to keep my foot to the left of the clutch on the "dead pedal", i think thats what people are calling it.. then just go to the clutch whenever i needed to shift..

i never rest my foot on the dead pedal because on one of my cars, on my dead pedal is my purge button,..since i dont use the dead pedal in that car,..ive learned not to use the dead pedal in my other car :happysad:

My heel is on the floor almost always. When I'm off the clutch, I use the foot rest. To disengage the clutch, I swivel my foot off the footrest and let the ball of my foot and my big toe carry most of the effort to depress the pedal. I make a point of smooth, quick engagement of the clutch, suitable to the driving conditions.
