The other person filed a damages claim for $10xx.xx. WOW considering it took less than that to fix my car with frame damage and a brand new door.

Insurance said the other person filed an injury claim, hey why not its an accident its like winning the lottery. Given that I had my door shoved half way up my ass, oh yeah lets rape this guy for whats he's got... nothing.

 

Bro your insurance company should give you there legal team and you shouldn't have to pay a cent for any of it. I got in a wreck long time ago and the person tried to sue me for 50,000g's they said Emotional distress and loss of sex, Even the hubby who wasn't even there said he had loss of companioship and loss of sex. Now this is funny considering that It was a small and I do mean small accident. She prob needed only new corner light and get the fender pulled out and painted. Bullshit if you ask me but Allstate took care of me and used there lawyers and the people didn't get shit not a dime other than repairs on her car. I am not racist in anyway but the few times I have wrecked they were fobs. They always try to sue you. Its wack

 

Insurance is handling it, but I still think its ridiculous. Well I am screwed because the other person was whiny white girl in her crappy car and it was level headed Asian guy in his nice shiny import (aka me) on the other end.

I am looking at a 30% increase in my policy, got a citation... 3 points on the licence, busted up my beloved Accord and its running me around $1k to fix.

Yeah, when I got in my accident, the other person only had about a 200 dollar repair tops, and thats all the insurance covered(i didnt have full coverage, so i fixed mine) But my insurance went up 50%. Pisses me off...i wish my car didnt have damage, cuz i woulda just paid the dude on the spot, and left, screw the cops and insurance.

Thats also the thing i hate about this country... people are such pussys. How can a judge seriously award someone 1 million dollars when they throw a drink on someone, and then slip and hurt themselves in it not 20 seconds later.... then sue the business.

I wish there would be a day in the near future in america where the judges would say "get a life" to a case like that. Unfortunately, looks like its just going downhill, and you will soon be sued if you honk your horn and wake up someones kid.
