financial aid is bullshit. i was denied because my parents owned a business, even though they were broke. then you'd have people who abused the system getting the benefits

i was denied grants (only offered loans) even tho my parents are separated and my mom is the only source of income and i have a younger brother that is also supported. there were TONS of examples of people who were going out buying benz's and nice cars with their financial aid money. those ppl had parents that owned cash businesses and cheated the tax system, and got a free ride in college.

man i'm such a bad person.

it's based on household income. i agree that college is expensive for everyone, but financial aid is geared toward those that couldn't afford to go to college without aid. obviously if there aren't enough places for digits on the application, you're not qualified. what's the point of crying about it?

fafsa isn't geared to help the rich folks that CAN afford to pay for a college education.

i wasn't crying about it. i was hoping that i'd get a scholarship, since the only way to get a PSU scholarship is to apply for financial aid. considering i have very good grades, i should be able to get one as a reward, but no, they'll probably give it to someone who has worse grades than me and who will **** around in school.

oh well, i was just bitching about it.
