It depends on where you get it from.
The taste is horrible. (Think liquorish flavored cough syrup sipped out of the bottom of a 100 year old used coffin)
The stuff I have is pretty potent... knocks me out after two shots... we ordered it from the Czech Republic.


I also have the herbs to make my own... I'm just lazy.

I wouldn't really classify it as cool.. or uncool...

ya i was told it makes you see shit kind of like shrooms... is it hard to mix up? i want to get into making my own been/liquor this fall maybe that'd be something cool to mix up

its a liquor derived from herbs and such that has a hallucionatic (sp? or is that even a word?!) that is illegal in the US but legal just about everywhere else

I loved it!!!!

I had it when I went to London. It doesn't make u crazy or trip but the drunkness u get is speciffic. Its like u are really drunk but can still think rationally. I had almost no motor skills left, but I knew exactely what was going on and could carry on a conversation. Walking was a different story.

Is it worth it to go to Canada for absinth? Well it depends what u expect from it. It pretty much just an alkochol. U can compare it to bacardi 151 since both have about 75% alcohol. The herbal properties of Absinthe make it something special but not anything to die for.

I'm having a bottle shipped to me from Czech Republic since my Polish friend is going there so I will be able to taste it again It does taste suprisiningly good. It has 75% alc. and the way they made it in London was delicious.

50mL shot into a regular glass.

dip a spoon full of sugar into absinth and then light the sugar on fire and let it drip into glass (periodically put a coaster on top of the glass to put out the flames)

Stir in the sugar and douse with another 50mL shot of Absinthe.

GET F'ed up. IT IS STRONG!!! I had two of those and two shots of other things. I was interogated by the barman befor he gave me the final absinthe drink hehe.

 

I've never done shrooms.. but I've tripped before several years ago (Thanks to a joint that was, unknownst to me, laced in Crystal meth. :squint: ) I haven't experienced any severe tripping over the Absinthe.. more like a calming effect much like weed and a spreading warmth and "fuzzy brain" effect I've never gotten with just normal alcholol. But.. I'm not a big drinker.. and I've yet to get over the taste... so... I've never consumed more then two shots at a time.
