Critique my pics....
just got back in, and resized them.
I live RIGHT NEXT to some train tracks, so I figured I'd take some pics of em
Taken with my new Canon A80
- Have any tips, suggestions? I havn't really used a camera other than point N shoot for years.
I've uploaded the ones I liked the best. I took about 20 pics overall
In general, they were point and shoot... not messing with any of the shutter speed or Apature settings currently. I have for other shots

I'll was just taking pics of what I have easy access too... that view(all kinds of tracks) is right out my window... a dozen or two trains go by every day... at least
here's how close it is. my room is the second floor, corner window.
pictures is taken from the tracks.

The first two have a bit too much sky in them for my taste but it also brings a little too much brightness to the eyes.
Third one I like, it draws you eyes easily down the track.
The fourth one is different but maybe its me but the blurriness of the rocks right in fron of you is a bit hard on the eyes....I wear glasses though. I do like the pic though.
The last one is a little different. I was thinking I wouldn't like it because of the straight on shot style (not very often it is an appealing style for me) but the inclusion of the tracks at the bottom of the picture really makes it work somehow. Not sure why but it just does. Stiil a bit heavy on the sky but a very good pic.
Choice pics IMO...2, 3, and 5
