The very idea that you think it's OK to promulgate this carnage is disgusting.

ill admit that street racing is illegal, and maybe we shouldnt talk about it in a public forum for that reason. however i will not agree that anyone who condones street racing is promulgating carnage. in fact i find it offensive.

A track has TRAINED medical professionals in the event of an emergency
Race cars are different from regular cars, you flip your car and your chances of survival are slim you flip a race car and you can walk out.
The cost of entry into a track is $30 or so, the cost of a life and the bills you end up paying is probably 1000x that. If you want adrenaline and take risks become a professional driver. If you want to do it on the side go autoxing, or the tracks. Maybe some of you need to see a mangled car with a dead guy inside that was your friend before you realize what is being said.
hey its just my opinion. if i want to risk my own life, i have every right to do that. in a car it might be illegal to do certain things, but the act of taking a risk is not illegal, nor is it even looked down upon in many circles. for example bicycling, mountain climbing, rafting etc etc. i could take life threatening risks every day if i wanted and nobody would say anything. if i say i like to race on an empty road though, i just dont know what im talking about, right?
i race around all the time on my bike and nobody ever says anything. atleast in my car i have a metal cage and a seatbelt.

You have the right to take your life in your own hands by driving on the Queen's highway in compliance with the law, and you have the right to take your life in your own hands in a controlled track environment where others have agreed to also conform to the rules and to that extent take their lives into their own hands for the sake of enjoying that controlled, performance oriented environment.
You do not have the right to consciously put the life of innocent citizens at risk by deliberately flaunting the law with patently felonious behaviour.
For whatever it's worth, I feel safer at Summit Point surrounded by people I know are trained than I feel on I 66 with a bunch of weaving lunatics that paid $100 for a license they shouldn't have in the first place.
That doesn't mean the weaving lunatics don't have a right to continue to lead their lives to the end of its natural existence, un-hastened by your felonious behaviour.
I am reaching the end of my patience w/these threads.
