jp i dont have a problem with trying to cut down on the illegal chat particularly, but i think that everyone would be happier if the board adapted to the needs of its users rather than users having to adapt to the board.
Since we're cutting out the illegal things discussed, should we not also lock down any threads that involve swapping and obd1 into an obd2 car since that's illegal? Or perhaps a lot of the DIY threads since a lot of the things done are illegal?

Why stop at the drag racing forum, why shouldnt the TOS cut out all illegal threads discussed?

lets all just go to church instead of going out cruising, and pray instead of posting on HAN. COME ON! almost anyone here with a turbo kit, aftermarket exaust, tail lights, hid conversion or hyperwhites, as well as anyone with a swap (as stated) and any kind of window tint is breaking the law! why don't we close all the threads, that way we could all be perfect!
so...ANY of the ride of the months are horribly illegal. so why aren't the rotm's always guys with stock engines and body kits, that way we wouldn't be condoning illegal behavior!

OMG, those cars are so fast when they are broken! I can't wait to see one that's working right!!!

Maybe I should have specified that it was a joke. :dunno: sorry.

I did see a nice S2k that had a turbo, it sounded sweet. But I did not race it, it wasn't even going the same direction as me.

pretty much any mod can be made legal, just takes a lot get it that way...besides, I hope you are speaking specifically for california, because a lot of the stuff that is illegal there is legal in most other states.

theres a HUGE difference in what you're saying... first, vehicle modifications arent unlawful. and second, the board can assume all such illegal modifications are kept "for off-road use".... :rick: streetracing is unlawful.

Haha, I can see some guy saying that he swaps in his engine only when he goes to the track, and then replaces it with his street engine when he's done h:
