Top Model?! :ugh: I saw the commercial for that and thought it was some show about dressing up skeletons.

Anyway...I don't consider American Idol a "Reality TV" show....it's just a game show. The first few episodes with all the crappy singers are great TV...but after that, it's just crap crappity crap.

I hate reality TV.

 

I'm getting sick of "event tv." The networks are so focused on building up one particular timeslot's ability to sell advertising they resort to every trick in the book to get as many people addicted as possible. It's not even just the reality shows--look at all the hype around the final episode of Sex and the City, or the way NBC promotes the crap out of every single new Friends episode as if it's the most important thing in your life.

 

i have to watch america's top model because my girl makes me watch it with her ,..and im with rick,..i watch more discovery these days,.especially american chopper and american hot rod,..american chopper is my favorite show ever!

 

I mostly watch local channels. There's a lot of good stuff on if you ignore the reality shows.
24, Smallville, 8 Simple Rules, According to Jim, Friends, and That 70's Show to name a few.
The only things I really watch on my satellite channels are the occasional Comedy Central Presents, South Park, Sliders, The Shield and WWE Raw. And I watch Food Network and TechTV sometimes.
And I just got HBO 'cause The Sopranos are starting next week.. :goodjob:

 

Reality TV = crap
There are some good shows out there like CSI: Miami (my fave when I'm actually watching tv...which is pretty rare) and Chappelle's Show (given).

F1, WRC, SBK and MotoGP are musts though.

 

The new season dosen't look all that exciting :dunno:

I pretty much only watch espn,discovery and cartoon network.

 

I was talking about CSI with my friend (PhD at CalTech) and he told me 90% of what they say are crap :chuckles: and incorrect

That made me laugh as many people think CSI is very "accurate"
