I am leaning towards the iPod in terms of reliabilty. The Dell DJ is the first gen vs. a 3rd or 4th gen iPod. Who knows? Both of these devices have FM transmitters made by Belkins for auto use. I have a stock stereo, and I plan on keeping it that way so the RCA cables are not really an option. I just like how I can bring the MP3 player into the car or the gym Hell, 15GB is awesome.

Oh, the battery issue. My co-worker has a problem with the battery as well. His battery doesn't give him a full charge for some reason. His iPod is less than 2 months old. :dunno:

Anyhow, thanks for all your inputs

iPod isn't worthy enough for me to crap on. There have been a lot of problems with it, 3 people here at work have them. They have all been in the apple repair shop more than being used. And yes, apple has even replaced them each. Just poorly made... that and supporting a company like apple is just a bad idea in general. As for the battery issue, while spending so much time on the phone with apple techs, the people I work with that have these have confirmed that the battery issue is an issure and is not fake, it's not a hoax, it IS a real problem.

Get the Dell.

the fm transmitters are kindof crap, they dont give out good sound quality, liek radio or maybe worse, but if u have stock radio and dont plan on upgrading then i guess thats what you'll have to do.

FM modulators are always the crappy way to go. They've been using those things since back in the day when people wanted to add cd changers to their stock radios.

FM modulators: The cordered ones are fine, quality is not as great, but it's ok. The ones that go over the air (Griffin) work decent on home systems, but not in car systems. Alpine's will be :goodjob:

Friend's of mine have integrated their iPod's into their factory or aftermarket radio's with a little wiring, nothing too technical.
