Hey Jimmy, a buddy of mine has a trick little setup in his RSX that you might be interested in. He has a Sony headunit that has an aux input, and ran a cable behind the dash down from the back of the headunit then up into the little bin in front of the shifter. The iPod fits in there perfectly.

I think i know what your talking abuot, usaully when people hook up the ipod they use the inputs but they have to control the music with the ipod. THere is this one thing that lets you use your CD input for the ipod and you can mount the ipod in the rear trunk or something, but it was 200 when i saw it like a month or two ago, not worth it to me. Is that what ur taalkin about? i forget the name but i'll find out.

the 15 gb dell dj was selling for 200 couple weeks ago. it was 224 even last week. if you're gonna get one, hold off for a bit cause dell always has sales.

as for size, it's a tad bigger than the ipod, but the difference isn't very noticeable.

and i heard that the dell's sound quality and playlist option aren't as great. i'm always wary of buying anything 1st generation. problems don't always arise immediately. the ipod is in its 3rd or 4th generation, so most the kinks have been worked out.

Nah, he doesn't have any sort of controls for the iPod on the headunit. It's just got a set of RCA inputs in the back so he ran an RCA-to-miniplug cable down behind the dash and poked it up into the bin in front of the shifter. It's a pretty clean installation because there's no cable hanging out there plugged into the front of the headunit or something. It's just the iPod chillin in the little bin and he picks it up when he wants to change the track.

I respect your opinion. I like my creative. its the 40gig model and it cost me a fraction of the price of an ipod. I love it and it has awesome sound quality. If I had the money to go out and buy a 40gig ipod then I probably would but I am poor I figure if creative is good enough to make my sound card they are good enough to make my mp3 player. I haven't had any problems with it and I think it sounds excellent.
