I have a wide variety of ethnicity but heres hw this mutt is bred.

American Indian
Mexican
Italian
Irish
Scottish

I think theres something else in there but its long been forgotten but I do take pride in each of my cultural heritages and all that it has to offer and teach me.

i just understood one of your questions, i think the way i feel about a certain ethnicity is based on what my relationship status is with them. i think hispanics are hella cool, so i feel they deserve maybe a little more attention then african americans. This is how i see it as, What has this certain person done for our society?
many hispanics are hard working and friendly. do you know what the unemployment rates are for african americans?

Afican americans can still be cool ppl but sometimes they are not as productive as they should be. (some are still very productive and some are not just like in every other race). please dont take my comments as threats, they are not, i still love everyone.

Noits not polite but they are said and used even though they are derogatory....look around the board and look at how we joke with each other about being a FOB which is derogatory as well and manytimes jokingly we use the term honky or redneck when cracking on people.

Now we don't mean these as anything more than jokes but if I were to use the word (just example) kike to a person on here how would that be different or to use the "N" word? you get what I mean...technically there is no difference because they all have racially motivated origins regardless of what they mean now.

Personally I could care less if someone calls me a honky or a white boy but it would also depend on how they were directing it towards me that would make the difference in how I would react.

I see your point but then you are also looking at it from the side of someone who has Mexican heritage so you see it in a different light.

Many people see the Mexican culture in America as one of laziness and dirtiness as well and that all they want to do is collect a welfare check as they pile six familys in a one family unit and drive cars with no insurance...these are racial stereotypes and this is what these types of events are meant to break down.

Every culture regardless has lazy people who don't work, steal, deal drugs, rape, murder etc. but to stereotype all of that ethnicity in that light is the thing that needs to be stopped. Each individual is their own person and should be judged in that way.

 

this reminds me of that US "white south african" kid that tried to win some award that only "african-americans" could win :chuckles:

 

Exactly...see they were judging on skin color and it wasn't ever stated that they had to be a black american but merely an African American
