Whenever I think Cingular, I think of poor coverage and too many users. Did this change in the last few years? Or does this mean better coverage for Cingular users and worse coverage for ATT users?

Also, will all these new phones be those watered down funky phones that Cingular users seem to be stuck with? :happysad:

 

If you have a 850/1900mhz phone, and are on ATTWS or Cingular, this is great news for you. The amount of towers will increase, so less spots without coverage. There will be tons of area's where phones can choose from ATTWS's 1900mhz towers, and once they lose that signal go to Cingulars 850mhz towers. This sucks for Sprint, becuase not they are much smaller than Verizon or Cingular. Sucks for all the people that will loose their jobs. Sucks for less competition. I wish Vodafone took over ATTWS, but oh well.

Still don't know about how the West Coast is, but Cingular and AT&T are some of THE worst providers here. It may be good news for West Coast, but here, they successfully formed a #1 company wuth poor, POOR service. :happysad: Hope I'm wrong and this would be good for all Cingular/AT&T users.

 

ATT and Verizon are generally accepted as equally large/excellent in California.

I like Verizons "features" and "customer support", so I pay them instead of ATT.
