Let's face it, if they were so bent on going fast, they wouldn't be driving a Honda.

Have a nice day

I got my Honda to go fast. I purposely knew I could put a 1.8 liter motor, and spank Mustangs and other domestics. For HP to weight ratio, you can't beat a Honda. The VTEC engine is a mean little beast for it's size. There is no disputing that.

No, there is no disputing that a 1.8 can be made to go fast. But, if you spent the same ammount of $$ on a F-body or a 5.0 as you have with the Sol, it wouldn't be a contest.

I'm not hating on Hondas or trying to diss them. They can be made to go fast, and for that I do give a lot of credit and respect. Hell, I still own one!

Not necessarily. Go out to a dealership and you're looking at spending how much for a new Mustang GT? Go to same dealerships used car lot - pick up a 98 Civic EK hatch or something for a few grand, drop a motor in for another few grand, and for half the price, you have a machine that outperforms said mustang in 1/4 mile times. Spend another grand and you have suspension. For less than 10k, you can have a machine that will dessimate said GT on any track/autox you put it on. Now here you will have the domestic and big block nuts say ... "oh well if you put all that money you spent on engine swap into the mustang :blah:.."

It won't matter. The more you sink into a Mustang, the more I can put into a Hatch, and still come out with a better performing vehicle for a fraction of the cost.

Well said sxecrow...but its worthless to continue arguing. You know how these threads go and end up. Falkon and ofthesun have had a chance to listen and have probably efficiently recieved the good points yourself, me and OSX have made.

Lets let it rest and they'll keep adding that fiberglass or better speakers into an M3, cuase thats what that car was built for you know...racing around a track at incredible speeds barely gripping the road and blasting some heavy bass to distract you more.

yeah... :blah: pretty much sums it up. This is just one of those things that we will have to agree to disagree.

But, perfect thread for the Basement, which is where this should have gone in the 1st place........

I'm a ricer.

That term is so cliche and meaningless now.

I swear I hate people who try to make a one sided conversation like this. It's so damn stupid.

Maybe if you knew something, you'd know I'm using it as a daily driver. I'm not racing the freaking car at all. I'd say having a nice sounding system [sql that is] would just make it better. again, don't be such a hater. A nice sounding car is a nice sounding car, nothing more. It's not rice. Not everyone who drives a car wants to go around racing it like a jackass.

oh shut the fvck up this argument is retarded....we all knew from reading the original post that this was gonna turn into an argument...so stop crying when somebody makes it into an argument. by the way there is a difference between a good sounding audio system and having five twelves in the trunk (just an example). Also most people I know with the body kits and systems and blah blah blah arent into the speed aspect so ok for them.....me and my other friends are more into go than show.....who the fvck cares? just do what you like and somebody close this stupid ass thread....
