Default Kerry having an affair with an intern...

www.drudgereport.com

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
Looks like his chances at winning the White House have fallen in the "Slim to None" category. And you would have thought the lessons learned from Clinton would have been better received.

I'm following this also on Drudge. Obviously Clark new about it beforehand, I'm just surprised that DC has kept a lid on it till now. If it is true, watch his popularity plummet faster than a falling comet. Kerry on the Democratic ticket anyone?

Interesting...

Oh well, there's always Edwards. I'd most likely pick him over Dean, but of course I would still pick Dean over Bush.

You're not saying this because he had an affair. I just read you stated you would look past what a president does as a person and criticize him for his policies.

I am going to go on a limb here but it seems you two fall into the category of, "I do not care who the Democratic contender is I am voting against Bush!".

IMO John Edwards has the most likely chance to beat Bush in the coming election...of all the candidates left it is he I fear the most. Dean would get trounced by Bush and I do not think Kerry is going to have the dough to sustain a long, mudslinging contest.

If the Republicans were to run someone other than Bush, then I would still consider voting for another Republican president. But that's not going to happen because Bush will almost for sure get the nomination unless he does something really stupid.

I'm curious, how accurate and political is this Drudge Report?

Matt Drudge is known for his ability to find and break stories before anyone else. He was the one that broke the story on Monica and Bill. Given his record I say it is true.

Bush will be the Republican nominee...noone is even challenging him. It is interesting though that so many people will vote for whoever the Dems throw at Bush irregardless of who he is. It really shows the divide in this country because people either love Bush or hate him...there is no in-between really.

I'd say Drudge has gained quite a bit of notoriety and credability since the beginning of the war against Saddam. He seems to kiss no ass and hold no legence to anyone. As for the election, I an just see another Y2K election unfolding as we speak..... a 50/50 popular vote with the electorates playing the deciding factor.
