no he isnt, he just bought it to go snow boarding and then he's returning it, he already has a digi cam.

All of the cameras of that size have the same "issue," it's part of their design. If they had a bulge for the grip they wouldn't fit in a pocket. Minolta Dimage X series, Casio Exilim series, Pentax Optio S series, etc. They're all essentially flat.
