any computer guys know about RAID? i need help!
earlier this week my RAID 0 (striping) array started making noise like the HDs were confused or going bad or something. i backed up most of my movies but ive been so busy this week that i never finished backing up the rest of my files. well just 20 minutes ago the things crashed my computer and it wouldnt reboot. i hooked up my spare drive (which luckily is already set up with windows and everything i need) and both my RAID partitions are there but inaccesible. i have this 'Promise FastCheck Monitoring Utility' and its all beeping and crap and it says this in regards to the array: "!"
is there any way to recover my files?!?!?! please someone help me i really dont want to lose all my files! theres a lot of important stuff on there! :awais:

yep raid 0 with a 1 bad drive = complete loss of data.
for certain adaptec products, we have a utility to bring the array back, but only if it the hdd didn't fail.
in your case it sounds like a hdd failure. sorry you are SOL.
