lol no I was just foolin' around. But in all honestly I don't understand why anyone's personal beliefs would restrict something like possibly saving lives. But hey call me close minded if thats the case.

well it is more religious than personal...when I am buried or cremated (whichever I choose) I must be buried or cremated as a whole or my spirit will wander.

Now I am not the most religious guy in the world but from my many teachings and what beliefs I do have this is one I would rather not tempt.

to donate or not is a huge personal decision. no one should bash anyone else for that choice.

I can respect that.

I'd just rather save someone else's life rather than worry about my own after I'm already dead. I'm not sure if this follows any religion, but I'd rather be giving and save someone's life than worrying about something we don't have control over.

Ok I think I better leave this thread because I have a feeling I'm going to offend some people. Sorry John if I've already offend you, that wasn't my purpose at all

I donate blood, IM not an organ donor never really thought much about it. Its very important however if you are a donor that your family knows that your a donor. Simply having the sticker on your drivers license is not enough.

No offense taken RB I just thought the comment was a little harsh is all. each person has their reasons and regardless of what they are the reason is personal to that individual. Its not for them to have to justify it because they are already comfortable with the decision they have made and there is no reason they shouldn't be comfortable with it.

Let's do a "for instance" scenario, just for the sake of arguement:

Say your daughter needed a new liver. You just so happened to get in a car accident, taken to the ER, where your daughter already is because she needs a new liver. What would happen if you weren't a donor and you passed without saying you wanted to donate your liver?

Ah, my mind thinks in weird ways like that...thats why I want to be a donor.

Yeah there are a lot of what ifs in any decision made...what if instead of hitting the brakes at the light I had punched the gas...what if I lit a cigarrette and there was a gas leak...what if the milk I just used on my cereal wasn't correctly dated and was bad...what if...

These are the risks we take in any decision we make and mine may have been the wrong one or it may have been the right one but I am satisfied that it is the correct one for me and my beliefs......just as any decision I have made on a daily basis.

I am. But I don't think they'll take out my organs since the sticker fell off my license a long time ago. h:
