My dealership sells the FRAM made ones, so I just bought a FRAM filter from Pep Boys. I wonder if Pep Boys sells Filtech too, because I could most likely get them cheaper than at the dealer.

I can't find K&N filters anywhere

The Honda FRAM filters worked pretty well on my car, so I thought I'd just get a FRAM right from Pepboys. Same shizzle. I can't find k&n filters though :happysad:

I found a K&N at Advance Autoparts.

I've used FRAM double guard filters before with no problems. But I found the AcDelco ones were pretty well recommended, inexpensive and avaliable lots of places.

higher oil pressure will protect the motor during constant up/down-shifts (racing on a course) which cause spikes and plunges in oil pressure. higher oil pressure will prevent spun bearings.

Run the hell away from the FRAM filters.
They have become so cheaply built it's disgusting.
Cardboard end caps, cellulose filter media and a PLASTIC relief valve :eek3:

Ever since I read the NTPOG article on oil filter construction, I've been using Hastings & Wix filters. It's clear that both Hastings & Wix filters have done a much better job than the FRAM filters.

After what NTPOG had to say about the FRAM line, I wouldn't run a FRAM filter on a lawnmower. :a:

i use walmart SuperTech filters. why? they're made by champion laboraties (same guys that make the Bosch, Champion, STP, Mobil 1, etc.)

basically i get a Mobil 1 filter, or close enough, for a third of the price.
