xxxx: meg wants to know why you aren't coming over
sxecrow: really
sxecrow: I'd love to come over, but I dont want to come and stay just for a little bit. If I came, I'd spend the night and bring a fresh set of clothes for the morning when I go to work. If she is ok with that, then count me in.
xxxx: i am asking her right now
xxxx: she says thats fine
sxecrow: all right. Let me feed the cat and get dressed - I'm in my PJ's
xxxx: ok
xxxx: she said that if she gets up and goes inthe bedroom that it is because she is tierd and that she will leave the door open for you

'straight-edge refers to a philosophy that's most basic tenets promote a drug free lifestyle. It developed as an offshoot of the punk rock/hardcore scenes of the early 1980's when the term itself is believed to have been coined by Ian Mackaye, in the self titled song, while he was the singer of the seminal hardcore band, Minor Threat. Mackaye eschewed the nihilistic tendencies of punk rock, promoting instead the simple (almost simplistic) philosophy of "don't drink/ don't smoke/ don't ****." '
That's the definition of it I found. I guess it works just like religion, it all has its hypocrites. So, you condone the ****ing but God forbid someone smokes. Wow, that makes no sense at all.

safe, clean (no std) sex is a lot healthier than smoking.

"straight-edge" isn't an established philosophy or religion, etc. It's just the ideas of a few people that spread and spread. Others have adapted it to their own lives.
