If God is perfect, then He could not allow anyone in heaven who "sins". Who can be good all the time? Answer, nobody. What then, are we all doomed?
No. You probably know the story of Jesus since you went to Catholic school, right?

As Paul said, you either live under Law, or under Grace. All religions in the world except Christianity teach Law in some some sort or fashion. Law is being perfect in hopes of getting to heaven. How good of a chance does that give anybody? Really?

I won't spend much more room here except to tell you that living under Grace is the only way to get to heaven. Being under Grace is the sacrifice that Jesus made of his own life for us, so that we could appear perfect before God. It is free for anyone who asks for it, and it unloads the load of guilt that we carry.

I think it just comes with the territory when you're 19. That was a tough age for me. You had mentioned wanting to try a church in a previous post, so maybe that's what you should do. You're seeking security about what happens at death and/or after death. In the big picture, death is the end of a relatively short existance on Earth. Life after death is eternal. Get into a relationship with God, and give all the worry to Him. Yeah we all die sometime, but what matters is what we did with the life we were given. I don't have a death wish, but I don't fear death either. It has no power over me. If I go tommorrow, than so be it. I have security in knowing I'll be with God in heaven someday.

 

Religion has only been around since the time when man started becoming civilized and forming social structures. That's what.. 4-6000 years?
The planet and other forms of species and life has been around for billions of years. Religion and man will only be a mere speck in the total outlook of things. One day.. mankind will be gone with a strong chance of never being heard from again.. and new species will be running around
We all return to what we come from.
