There's more than one kind of K24A. The one in the TSX makes 200 hp, the one in the Accord, CR-V and Element makes 160 hp.

Kind of how both the RSX and RSX Type-S both have K20A motors, but the base model has 160 hp and the Type-S has 200.

I went to the Acura dealer to drive a TSX last week and saw the TL they had in the showroom. The detailling of the interior looks awesome and the seats are super comfy, but the car is just plain big. It's nice for what it is, a big fwd sedan, but I mean come on its competitors are the Toyota Avalon, Lexus ES330, Infiniti I35 and Nissan Maxima.

no I haven't driven either, because I'm basing it off appearances... but frankly, even though the TL has 270 hp, it weighs 3482 lbs, while the TSX is over 250 lbs less. Even though the TL has a better hp/lb ratio, I'm sorry but I can't come to like the design of the new TL.

having driven both, the TL is better in every way than the tsx.. yes, the TL is rather.. umm.. substantial.. but when you're driving it doesnt feel big at all. its very nimble and responsive given the size.. the major downfall for the tsx is the lack of power.. especially with the auto tranny. its a dog.. the TL, without any effort, was well on its way to 100mph when i laid into it a bit- and this is with the auto tranny.

as for appearance, they are actually very similar, with the exception of the rear end.. a lot of people have trouble determining if a car is a tsx or a tl if looking at it from the front...

interiors are similar... the TL is more blingin tho..
