my dad had me driving his cars in empty industrial parks at the age of 11. then at 15 i got my first car (it was manual) and in about 10 minutes of practice i was able to drive the car somewhat smoothly.

 

First time i drove was 14 years old, i was in Cali and my uncle let me drive some small minivan type vehicle. The fastest i went was 25 mph. then finally when i turned 15 i learned on a 1987 Integra RS(which eventually became my car in High school) It took me 2 days of practice around my uncles neighborhood that was the only time i really ever drove up until 16 yrs and 6 months when i started working in the summer time. My parents told me not to drive the Integra, of course i did anyways. So i took the car and wanted to just drive it around my neighborhood and i found myself driving the stick on my own with no one with me and i was doing very good. Ive only stalled a car 3 times in the last 10 years ive been driving.

 

i learned stick immediatly after buying the car. took me about 30 min to get down smooth shifts, and i drove it home

 

First car i learned to drive in was my mom's 1998 Honda CRV back in 99' when i was 16. It was very different than what i thought it was gonna be; extremely nervous my first time behind the wheel. Didnt get my liscence til i was 17 in 00' (wasnt really in a rush). One thing i am embaressed to say tho is that i have not yet perfected a stick and i'll be 21 in june:sad:

happened to me, too. First car I drove was my mom's minivan..put it in drive and it just lurched forward...I was like "WHOAH...I didn't even push the gas " h:

 

first car I drove was my moms volvo station wagon when I was 14 when they were out of town me and the buddies took it around the neighborhood. First time I drove a stick was when I bought my civic and drove it out of the guys driveway...only took me a few minutes to figure it out cause I had been riding dirt bikes for a couple years prior so I kinda applied the same theories.
